Once, a long time ago

Where we’d play in the sun, as our faces would glow

Where toys were lined up row by row 

 

Stuffed animals and dolls in a line

Tea cup clinking, pretending was fine

Cootie catchers folded, predicting our fate

Picking a number as we laugh and wait

 

As time moves forwards, things change

The toys collect dust, games rearrange 

But in a past photo, the joy stays 

As we try to figure out the new maze
