The best part of having a mall right in front of school has to be the food. We have so many different options to choose from during lunch. I don’t know about you, but sometimes, I can’t decide what to get.
So, I did a little survey asking a few Fraser students what their go-to choices are. I took my responses and compiled them into a list regarding some of the most popular choices for you.
Who knows? Maybe you’ll find your new favorite go-to food on this list.
Category #1: Lunch At Erin Mills
Winner - Poutine!
This wasn’t a surprise. The lines in front of New York Fries are proof enough that Fraser loves its poutine. Whether it’s from New York Fries or Villa Madina.
Honourable Mentions: Subway subs, chipotle and teriyaki
Category #2: Fast Food Place
Winner - New York Fries
Again, no surprise considering poutine was the top lunch option.
Honourable Mentions: Taco Bell, Subway and Teriyaki Experience
Category #3: Gong Cha/Real Fruit orders
Winner - TIE (Milk Tea/ Mango Smoothie)
This category had the largest variety of favorites. However, the best Real Fruit order came down to be mango smoothies and for Gong Cha, its classic milk tea.
Honourable Mentions: Black Sugar Pearl Latte, Coffee Milk tea, Taro, etc
Category #4: Tim Hortons Drinks
Winner - Iced Capp
Iced Capps won by a landslide, no competition whatsoever. Many people mentioned preferring flavored iced capps like the caramel ones. There were also other seasonal favorite drinks such as hot chocolate for the winters and quenchers for the summers.
My personal favorite is their frozen lemonade in the summers.
Honourable Mentions: Frozen Lemonade, Quenchers, Hot Chocolate (and apparently water…)
Category #5: SNACKSSS
Winner - Sour Patch Kids
I asked for some of the best snacks to buy at Walmart, because I don’t know about you but snacks help the day go by just a bit faster. I expected something like Takis to win, but Sour Patch Kids ended up being the clear winner and I’m not complaining.
Honourable Mentions: Takis, Chocolate Pretzels, Oreos, Hot Cheetos
When asking around somebody told me ‘I like trying new stuff’ and honestly I think that’s the best way to go. Next time you go to Erin Mills, experiment a little, maybe try something on the list. I’m sure you won’t regret it, they’re Fraser’s top picks for a reason.
We have a whole mall two minutes away from us, might as well make the most of it!
